I played Championship Manager 2 96/97 for a LOOOONG time, it was probably the greatest championship manager ever made, then I bought 99/00 which had all the new players but was by far not as fun to play as CM2.

im playing the new version, ive been west ham manager for 3 seasons.
Season one i started half way through, i was also ajax manager, saw west ham doing badly and became them as well.
I bought hassilbank, bergkamp and others inclduing barry and won the fa cup, finishing 10 from being bottom.
next season i won the leage cup and the fa cup and finished 3rd and bought edgar davids, philips and bowyer for that season.
Season three saw vieri joining along with a few european vetrans and some very good youth players, i won the chairty shield, the fa cup, the leaguecup, the uefa cup(i was knocked out of the champions league) and the uefa super cup finishing second.
im now in season four and are top of the league in january and in the 2nd group phases of the champions league.
i love this game, my failry unknown tip is jonathan mackem at preston and kiko on a free transfer and west(did the job at ajax) and never buy zamora from brighton.
It is amazing what can be accomplised when nobody takes the credit
