Hot of course! In fact I paid £18 for a full english at the Marriot the other day I was so desperate for grease!

Anybody that likes continental breakfast needs shooting.

I prefer a cooked breakfast - usually bacon or sausages, fried eggs, toast, mushrooms, beans and a tomato, topped with HP sauce. But for health (and time) reasons we usually only have cooked breakfast maybe once a week (at weekends, if that). My wife's favourite is bacon with eggy bread (French toast she calls it?), drizzled with golden syrup. Rest of the time, either a bowl of cereal or toast and marmalade.

This please!

But I'm also coming round to the American breakfast of sausage links, crispy bacon and fluffy pancakes drowned in syrup, how could I not??

At home I have a cold breakfast because I do not have the time of a hot one. But on vacation I love a hot one or a buffet.

Scrambled eggs, pain perdu, and of course toast, toast, toast. I like my mornings warm and cozy. I even heat my underwear on a radiator before dressing in the morning (just a dirty little secret I thought I might share here, sorry.)

Neither!!!!

I very rarely eat anything for Breakfast. Usually try to eat a light lunch around 11:00 and then have a big supper in the evening.

I don't know, I guess I'm just not hungry when I wake up in the morning.

Depends on the day and what I've got going on.

On duty, as I get up at 0300 each day I rarely eat much breakfast - usually some oatmeal and a bagel. Good for the blood pressure and cholesterol - I'm getting  old  ya know.

When I'm home, occasionally I'll make breakfast for the family before they are up and off to school. Most times, don't get up early enough for breakfast.

You know I was thinking about this a little more after my first post and I think it really comes down to the fact that I strongly dislike most of the foods that are associated with breakfast.

I absolutely hate eggs in all forms. I don't care if they are scrambled, fried, poached, etc., hate them all. Makes my stomach sick just thinking about it.

Not a fan of cereal or oatmeal.

Not a fan of cold rolls or doughnuts either.

I do LOVE bacon however!!!!

I don't eat breakfast when I'm at home but if I am on a trip I enjoy an omelette with cheese, ham, mushrooms, onions, peppers.... after a few days I switch to the bread cheese ham routine. In Europe I have the continental with a boiled egg and a couple of sausages, while in the UK it is the full greasy cardio nightmare: fried bread, fried eggs, bacon, sausage mushrooms, beans.... yum!

Nothing wrong with that. Nothing beats a warm pair of underwear on a cold winter morning. Big grin

Then later at work, I'll have a low-fat fruit yogurt followed about a half hour later by a granola bar.

Fried salted dried fish, longanisa, eggs over easy, with a bowl or rice or pan de sal.

I'm a big sucker for a full-Southern Breakfast. Biscuits, sausage, and country gravy.

I love bacon, but not as super crispy as does everyone. I like to chew on the fat.
