Hey Nighthawk,

thanks for the link. I have already send it to him. I hope that he will visit the museum! It's shame that he is not going there during the summer. But the forecast does not look to bad!

The vodka and the caviar.

Thanks again for your help!

Cheers,
Andrej

Hey Grant,

He is leaving tomorrow for business trip that should last four days. He is 26 y/o (already?!  Wow! ) and I know that he will be having some meetings but should have his mornings and afternoons free. Quite possibly more, but it depends on his boss.  Smile

Cheers,
Andrej

This time of year he should check out the ballet and opera - great stuff even for the uninterested and you'll never get it cheaper.

There is the Rodina Matt (mother of the mother land) war museum and tank park.

He could also see some football at either Dynamo or Republic stadium, again never cheaper. Warning, toilets are rare at Dynamo and non-existant at Republic.

Finally there are just legions of smoking hot babes who all wear thongs and as little else as possible and the beer and clubs are all cheap and full. That said, almost any woman who actually talks to him in a club is most likely a prostitute, nice ukrainian girls just don't do that.

Something tells me he'll enjoy himself.

I KNOW he will enjoy that!  biggrin

I will tell him about the opera, and the war musem. He loves WWII history and he enjoys operas. Is the Rodina Matt in the center or on the outskirds? I do not know Kiev at all so that's why I ask. Would you recommend any good club? Something that is safe and has a good reputation where he can have a good time*?

The museum and tank park are at the base of the huge titanium sword and sheild weilding woman - you can't miss her ! A pleasant stroll from the main street. Along the way is Arsenal subway station (must be the deepest ever) and the Afghan War memorial also worth a look.

The clubs change all the time but I always found Carribean Club to be a bit nicer and friendlier than the rest. There used to bea Soviet themed club called Promzona which had the tables inside old tanks and things and best of all it had an indoor go-cart track !!!!
