Who would have thought ...

On a more serious note, this would add a little fuel to the claim that courts often give eyewittness reports too much weight.

That's cool. I failed also, but I did think at one point that it seemed to suddenly get very crowded.

Of course you failed. The test was designed to make you fail. It's an old ploy. Ask you to focus on one thing, then introduce a unrelated, and disguised factor. This is also why lawyers are constrained from testing a witnesses credibility by questioning details unrelated to the event you are giving testimony about. The bear was immaterial from the focus. Just as the color of cars on the freeway in immaterial to the physical description of the guy you saw mugging someone ten feet away from you.

(PS: If the bear had been a different color than the people you were told to ignore, you would have noticed it. By telling you to focus on the white team, you were programmed to ignore the black team, and the black bear.)

I passed. I counted 13.

There was no bear. There was a guy in a "bear" costume that looked like a black team member wearing a hoodie. Of course I didn't notice him.

The outcome might have been different if a real bear had walked in front of the camera and acted like a bear would, by attacking the players.

Yes, I noticed that. Plus when the "bear" appeared on the right, the white team passed the ball to the left and vice versa.

I actually did notice the bear, but not when he was moonwalking - only when, in the middle of the screen, he faced the camera. I then went back to the passing. I guess I half-pass or something.

Great. This means your chances of getting run over by a bycicle are small. Big grin

Yup, 13.

And that was not a bear. They need to go back to school and learn that a human dressed in a black hoodie is... a human dressed in a black hoodie, not a bear.

 Yeah sure

So pointing out the guy who broke into my house would be thrown out because I didn't count how many cops were chasing him?

Passed.

Counted 13 also saw the "bear"

That's why I was a bit confused when he asked later did you see the "bear" I was thinking uhm yes but you asked me how many passes were.

So apparantly not a good test haha.

yawn  More like something along the line of "both eyewitnesses did not see someone running across the street".

Crap, so did I!

I didn't notice the bear, but if it were a real bear I would have noticed. That just looked like some fat dude dressed in black.
