I'm just trying to get something worthwhile to discuss here. USA hockey beats Germany tonight. Can someone tell me what the score was? I think it was 5-2.

Isn't the coach the same one that coached the 1980 USA hockey team? What's his name?

Looks like the US actually might have a chance to come away with a medal, but first they must beat the Russians to ensure it is atleast a silver.

Talk about a shocker, Belarus beat Sweden.

B737-700, fine, 7-1 against Germany, but I guess that's not the game you meant? Big grin

lol, no I wasn't refering to that one !  Big thumbs up nice try though !
But you can't seriously compare Germany with Sweden.
It was THE success for the German team to make it in the final round.

Beefmoney, if I heard right, the last time-the only time-the U.S. has lost a hockey game on home ice was the first game of the 1932 Lake Placid Olympics. They lost to Canada. And, if I'm not mistaken, one of the great upsets of all time happened in that tournament, when Great Britian beat Canada 2-1. That upset is ranked 3rd of all time behind the U.S. over the Soviet Union in 1980, and last nights upset by Belarus over Sweden.

Anyway, germany is still the No. 1 of the medal tracker with a total of 31 medals, followed by the USA with 26 medals :P

By the way, Great Britain is also placed on a good last position, with a total of 1 medal :P
