Anyone remember the VW Thing? I saw one today! I think the Saturn VUE is ugly. I just looks like one of their station wagons on steroids. Besides, what does VUE stand for?

Like IMissPiedmont said, it has to be the Yugo. But I would like to nominate the Ford Pinto & Chevy Chevette too. They weren't much better than the Yugo. Regards.

I'll put in a third vote for the Yugo. I can't imagine how the thing ever made it to the US to begin with. After all, we have pretty strict safety standards here. Yugos had the worst reputation for reliability and crash safety of any car on the road while they were on the market. Thank God they're gone. No big loss.

I have to say the Yugo also.
It's only been 12 years since the last Yugo was sold in the US and there are hardly any on the road now.
As generic as the Pinto and Chevette were, they are still around at least here in California, Nevada and Arizona.
It's been 22 years since the last pinto was made and 17 for the little Chevy.

I'm sorry to hear that . Wasn't that the Ford based on the Kia design? It might've been the Festiva. Oh well, they look the same.

BH346: Yes, I think the Fiesta and Festiva are almost the exact same car. I got a tech manual to learn more about the inner parts of the car and it says "Fiesta/Festiva" so I guess they are pretty much identical.

The Yugo was so bad that when the local dealer went kaput, they had one left over they couldn't sell before foreclosure. The owners of the building put it out front with a price of $2000 on it. The price, after six months had gone down to $500. It was finally sold for $400 about two weeks later. Pretty sad when most people I know would spend that for a 30 year old used car.
As for the Pinto and the Chevette. Hold on now! The Pinto was cute and the Chevette was actually a very good car for what you paid. In either case you got a car that would reliably transport you for 6 or 7 years with little maintanence. Not at all like the new cars sold today. Figure on 50K on the odometer and throw it away.

Yeah , fiesta and festiva are pretty much the same.
here in argentina, where i live, there is the fiesta, but in countries like Uruguay, Brazil and i don't know if united states too, they are called Festiva. it's just market politic.
and i'm almost sure, that their inner's are pretty much the same too.

The worst cars are American Made cars. we bought american cars and they always had trouble. But the worst would have to be teh General Motors Geo. They are pieces of crap. They are like driving eggs. the would break if they bumped into anything.

Has everyone forgotten the American Motors Pacer and Gremlin??
Ugh!!!!
My 16 year old daughter and I actually saw a Pacer on the road last week. She asked, "What is that!!! and who would be driving it??"
I replied, "a fish bowl on 4 wheels and a Dork"!!
Enough said!
