Hey everyone,

Just moved into my new apartment near downtown Dallas and I really like it. I start a new job with New York Life Insurance this Monday as a Life Insurance Underwriter.

If there is anyone in the Dallas area and get bored let me know. I moved up from Austin and don't know anyone. It's like starting college all over again  Smile

Where in Downtown? My sister lives in downtown also, she is in the 'uptown' area. Specifically I have no damn idea.

Lower Greenville is a fun area. JCS17 lives in that neck of the woods-if you need a drinking partner he's down.

I lived in Dallas most my life so I'm familiar with the area, if you need any tips or suggestions let me know.

First tip:

Eat at Taco Cabana it's on Lower Greenville. Get the large cheese quesadilla.

Isn’t a large chicken quesadilla the same at Taco Cabana everywhere? Regardless of location?

18Heavy, Welcome to The Big D. I live down the street in that filthy, sprawling city ruled by brazen women and pansexual cowboys. I visit sometimes and will give you a shout if I have some spare time.

Ha, my good friend actually lives in The Villages. I live about five minutes away. Drop me a PM and we'll have a few drinks next weekend.

Of course, but that is the closest Cabana to him.

PS: Cabana is my all time fast food favorite. Yes I like it more than In N Out...
(I say that as I like 5 mins from an In N Out).

P.S. Bring some ladies along if you want as well  Smile

I grew up 5 minutes from The Village Apartments, just down Mockingbird (not HP but toward White Rock Lake). Let me know if you are looking for stuff to do, I can give you some ideas and my brother can add more.

It will be just like college for ya ... there are some ultra nice girls at SMU. I used to drive past there pretty often when I lived in Dallas for an internship.

It's a pretty cool place to live. Make sure you get out and meet people - that's the quickest way to start living anywhere (easier said than done, however.)
