This should be very nice (on the 6-month anniversary of the tragedy).

What do you think?

Hey- Nice topic. I saw the little art impression on the article and it looks really beautiful.

Yeah, it really does look beautiful and I'm sure it'll bring back lots of emotions when it is lit Monday.

Imagine how teary-eyed New Yorkers will get when they see this--what a nice idea. I feel bad that I won't be there to see it light up.

I saw the animation on TV earlier, I think it's beautiful. A wonderful idea.

Some relatives are worried that the lights will memorialize buildings and not people?

Excuse me..but i believe that cash payouts are the best memorial of all.

I'll say it again...there is a finite period whereby the "survivors" can get away with saying crap, and for me, it's rapidly approaching the end.

I just think its a shame that the lights will only be displayed for a month. It would be nice to see them as a permanant memorial. better than any statue or eternal flame I think.

At what time will the lights go on?

I'm sure it'll be on all the news stations.

yea... I can see them from my apartment (used to be able to see the WTC from about Floor 45 up)... the lights are definately further west (towards the hudson) than the towers were.

Here are some shots I took last night near my apartment. It only looks like one light because of the angle but it still looks cool. If for some reason these pics don't work, let me know.

I resized them so it wouldn't take forever to download, so they're not the highest quality.
