Just as the thread title says. I know someone who is at LAX next week, and they don't really want to pay the rip off charges LAX charges for just 10-15mins internet in the terminals. Is there any internet cafes near the In N Out bar? They are in LAX for nearly 7 hours

AFAIK (which, unfortunately as far as current knowledge of LA goes is not very far) the whole "internet cafe" thing isn't really big in CA (or anywhere else I can think of for that matter).

Most Starbucks have internet access, but unless Starbucks has finished transitioning from T-Mobil to AT&T, the pricing is identical to what you'd get at LAX -- $9.95/day unless you can steal, erm, "borrow", from a airline lounge.

A bunch of McDonalds are offering "free" WiFi, but I don't know of a way to identify which loctaions short of going there -- and then there's the matter of transportation. You're almost certain to pay more to get from the airport to somewhere with Internet access and back as you would to just suck it up and pay the (yes, inflated) airport fee.

If your friend is traveling sans PC, many public libraries offer free Internet access as well.

They are in LAX in transit for their US domestic around 9pm. When I was walking to the In N Put bar last year I'm certain I saw an Internet cafe around it, but I can't remember so thats why I'm asking

It's not a bar. Thou, a Blue Moon and 747's would be awesome together...

About 1/5 a mile from the thrifty rent-a-car facility is an Internet Cafe. I've driven by it before. Thats all I know.

Your friends could hop on the thrifty bus and catch a ride down there I guess haha but I don't recommend it.

Oh thats near the Marriot Hotel. I know where that it. I've driven past that when I rented a Hertz vehicle last year. Is that the only nearby Internet Cafe?

In N Out is a fast food restaurant, not a bar

Outside the Continental President's Club is rather popular.
