Well, due to some issues (broke up with partner) in San Francisco Bay Area, I've recently relocated back to Los Angeles. Got a decent affordable apartment (nothing fancy) and a stable job here but after getting off of work and returning to my crib, everything just fall silent. I don't have much in the apartment (not even a TV) and there is only radio music to accompany me. I used to have many friends whom I can visit at random times or have meals together but now it's just me. It is hard to make friends since I visit the clients rather than working in an office. Bars and clubs are really not my scene. I'm trying to come up with things to do but at the end of the day, it's still me browsing the Internet and/or reading books/magazines until I fall asleep or spending a few hours sitting on the beach in Santa Monica looking into the distant sea. I used to have it all but now I'm trying to tough it out in LA independently.
The clients are so much more demanding than the ones in SF and there is no pleasing anyone with the job. I'm supposed to take classes in order to get into a graduate program but now work has consumed most of my energy. It just feels like nothing is right on track. LAME!!! It sounds depressing but I've been listening to Coldplay's Viva La Vida...
P.S. Where is that world famous In-n-Out for spotters? I've been driving around and couldn't find it. I need an address! Thanks!!

At least "Viva la vida" is one of Coldplay's more upbeat albums... at least you aren't stuck listening to "Parachutes"!

Hey Bum, hang in there. I know how tough it is to move to Los Angeles and not know anyone. I moved to Long Beach from Phoenix (after the break-up of my LTR) in March 2007 and knew virtually no one in Southern California. Use the social networking site (and such) to meet people. Once you've broken the ice and met up with some new friends, things will get alot better.
Here's the address for the "spotters" In'nOut Burger in Westchester that you're looking for - I'd just Mapquest it for driving directions from your apartment.
9149 S. Sepulveda Blvd.
Westchester, California 90045
The restaurant hours are Sunday through Thursday 10:30 a.m.-1:00 a.m. and Friday and Saturday 10:30 a.m.-1:30 a.m. Oh, and make sure to get the "Animal" from their menu.

If he met AA61hvy I don't blame him for writing off the L.A. a.net crowd. In fact, I wouldn't blame him if he never posted on airliners.net again or wanted to live another hour.

I don't live in LA anymore, Joshua.
All of these years on Anet and this is the trash you come up with? I expected more.

Well, I survived the first week. It was hectic running around trying to get to clients without being late. I probably made the most U-turns this week than any other times in my life! And, somehow a few days ago the police yellow-taped the entire block next to me and blocked the street with a few patrol cars and about 10 police officers standing near an apartment complex.. kinda freaked me out a bit...
Thanks! I'm heading home today so I'll go next weekend.

Something about meeting up online friends freaks me out heh. I mean, no offense.. it'll be awkward moment if I met up with people and there's really no connections going on haha.

Nah, nothing has changed. Just exposing JCS for some lame jokes.
You should see us when we hang out in person...quite an experience.
Josh will always be pissed though--I met my girlfriend when he was at a party I was having. His words were "wow, we should go talk to her." I said, "should I?" Josh said "if you don't I will...."
4 years later I'm living with her here in Nor Cal and engagement is on the horizon.... He may be bitter
