Well folks, welcome to The Unofficial Ultimate Epic A.net Beer Thread.
So, basically, the idear is to post something about beer. Cool facts about beer are awesome, good beer stories are fun, even write a song if you feel so unclined!
I'll start eh... The book I read recently explains that Beer was pretty much discovered by accident, but became popular way back in mesopotamia because it relatively easy to make from the cereal farms and the alcohol in it killed bacteria which made drinking beer much safer than drinking the water. Over the centuries beer has been changed, refined, etc, many times over, but it's still one of the most ancient drinks out there. And it's been making people for thousands and thousands of years.
Now, over to the world of A.netters. Let this thread of the Non-av forum be open and active!

I officially support this unofficial thread.
That said, I have no amusing pictures of beer or good jokes to add to this thread so I will merely say this. Beer. Is Good. Unless it's Nattie Light. Or really any light beer. And most American beer fails too (layovers in Germany kind of spoiled me)

Weissbier, or Weißbier in Germany, literally translated as "White Beer," and so-called because it was at the time of its inception paler in color than Munich brown beer, is a Bavarian specialty brewed in which a significant proportion of malted barley is replaced with malted wheat. By German law, Weissbiers brewed in Germany must be top-fermented, making them ales. Specialized strains of yeast are used which produce overtones of banana and clove as by-products of fermentation.
Weissbier is well-known throughout Germany, though they are better known as Weizen outside Bavaria.
... Dunkelweiss to be exact (my favourite)
Thankfully you can get certain Weissbiers now-a-days in Finland as well.

HOW TO IMPRESS A WOMAN
Compliment her, cuddle her, kiss her, caress her, love her, stroke her, comfort her, protect her, hug her, wine and dine her, buy gifts for her, listen to her, respect her, stand by her, support her, go to the ends of the earth for her.
HOW TO IMPRESS A MAN
Arrive naked ... with beer.

Budweiser has a new beer coming out September 15. Budweiser American Ale. I look forward to giving it a try. I drink Budweiser, I like it, I don't think it sucks, and I would venture to say the majority of you drink it (and like it) too....at least those of you from the States.

The fact that the Czechs are the world's biggest beer drinkers is well known. But did you know that if Newfoundland would be an independent country, it would be the runner-up?
Only four liters per capita yearly behind Czech Republic.

Yech. Haha. Well, I can't sey yech too much, I've never actually tried straight up Bud, and I really have no desire to either. Actually the only Anheuser-Busch beer that I've ever tried is Shock Top. And I enjoyed it.

The only beer we have in Costa Rica is piss with different names, most notably Imperial. I can get some German beers here, but it's either Warsteiner (another type of piss), Oettinger (the cheapest beer only available at Aldi), and Paulaner (which I want to try but can't buy because when I go shopping, it's mostly on my last day of work every other week).
