If anyone has any idea of the situation in Yakima, I would appreciate it. I have an oppurtunity to buy a piece of the Snokist Growers warehouse. Can someone tell me how the area's economy is doing? How is Snokist doing, did anyone hear anything about them? is there a chance that they could be empty from this space in 3 years?

No idea currently but I do remember a time in the 1980s when the Yakima area economy was so bad that you could buy a custom built home on a hilltop overlooking the city for less than half the price of a two-bedroom tract home in a low-income neighborhood in Reno, where I lived. I'm talking really nice house on many acres for about $35 thousand 1985 dollars.
I can't imagine that the economy there has stayed that bad.
Happiness is not seeing another trite Ste. Maarten photo all week long.

Produce is a huge gamble anyway, especially east of the Cascades. Because of late frosts this year and last year, there were lower than normal cherry and pear crops in the Columbia River Gorge. That means fewer workers spending money at places like Safeway and K-Mart.
Yakima has always seemd rough to me anyway. There always seems to be a lot of gang activity there. Growing up, we were always told of thugs that would hid under people's cars at the mall downtown and wait for people to open their car, slash their ankle and steal the car. That was not in Seattle or Portland, but in Yakima.
I would never do it because I have never liked Yakima, but others go there and fall in love.

I have the opportunity to buy a piece of the Warehouse that they are housed in. They will be selling to an LLC being formed and one of the partners of the LLC offered me a piece. I strictly asked about the area of Yakima and the economy up there. I know where to draw the line when it comes to asking A.net
