Robinho to City? I thought Chelsea wanted him.

One of the recent rumours was that FC Bayern, after having acquired the services of Massimo Oddo, wanted to buy Berbatov for the exorbitant sum of €45 million. I mean I know Berbatov is a good player, but I don't think he's worth that much.

Anyway, the rumour was squashed when Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said that they won't get any new players until at least the winter, when the transfer window re-opens.

Jeez, how crazy is this. In one day Man City got taken over one year after being taken over, and promptly placed bids for Berbatov and Villa, and signed Robinho! Obviously he was after the money, which should surprise no one. Looks like clubs such as City and Tottenham are trying to become the new Chelsea and buy success!

City could buy success but Spurs, I doubt it.

Rangers haven't bought anyone in the last few days but they've sold Daniel Cousin to Hull. He was superb yesterday against Celtic but he's too inconsistent to depend on.

spurs are pathetic i cant believe there not going to to report man ure for illegally tapping up berbatov hes over rated anyway and i think Pavlyuchenko will out score him this season as for robinho as a chelsea fan I'm glad we didn't sign him now as hes obviously just after the money and his value just dropped by about 10 mill thanks to no prospect of champs league football they will never win the league with mark huges either

Funny, someone once said that to Alex Ferguson.... he went on to win the premier league that year.

yeah but alot of them could have gone for big money transfers this time but have decided to stay so that shows some sort of loyalty espesially drogba and lampard although he is being paid way to much and simply isnt worth that amout but i think deco is going to turn out to be the signing of the season but another striker would have been nice as were to light up front

No suprises there, Wenger has his own way of doing things.

Robinho to Man City? Contender for the most bizzare transfer of the season. Either he saw too many pound signs lighting up his eyes or he got City confused with Man Utd.

In Arsene we trust!!

Did the players in question really have a sensible, more noble alternative?

One you would have taken if you were in their shoes?

Asking this honestly, because I haven't watched this very closely at all.

Inspiration, move me brightly!
