Actually when I saw it light up i was rather upset. It was alot less bright and visible then i thought. I figured Id'e be able to see it on my next transatlantic flight ATL-CDG, but i guess not :-(

Yea, the light that points up from the Pyramid. (Luxor) in Vegas. Maybe the New York New York Hotel.

First, it didn't seem bright at first, but either (a) the lights had to warm up (if they're that type) or (b) just had to wait for the sky to get a bit darker. It was definately brighter a little later.

And, yes, Las Vegas's LUXOR hotel/casino has a huge light on top of the pyramid that shines upward.

yea... they say it can be seen from about 20mi away...

You really can't see it well from street level further north, but when you go upstairs you can. I'm looking at them right now out of my window...

And for one thing, they are definately more West than the original Towers were...

??? They do nothing of the sort for me.

Shame they can't be permanent, but the cost is probably phenomenal. A stunning sight nonetheless.
