One good album, the first one, then a lot of excessive drinking, public pissing, pretending to get his cock out at concerts, getting fat, drinking more, getting fatter, starting to lose his voice, then off to Paris where he pretended to be a deep thinker (very bad poetry and all), and died because either his body gave out through alcohol abuse, or he did some of his girlfriend's smack and screwed up the dosage.
Either way, he's not that positively remembered, despite the overblown Oliver Stone film (complete with his 'communing' on stage with ghostly Native Americans).

LOL. You are right he had many poor aspects of his career but that should not detract from the highlights which were undeniable IMHO.
