If You Had To Pick A Different Username...

what would that username be?

I picked Triebwerk to combine my interest in German with my interest in aviation (Triebwerk means Jet Engine auf Deutsch), but would probably settle for Fahrwerk (landing gear) if I had to pick again. What would your alternate username be?

Quoting Triebwerk (Thread starter):

I am fine with my username. I have it for more than 4 years now and I don't want to change it.
Maybe only Change the 737 to MD11F so that I don't have to type:

WILCO737 (MD11F) all the time Big grin

WILCO737 (MD11F)

It it's not Boeing, I am not going.

Well, I picked ACDC8 because it was the first aircraft I ever flew on when I was a young lad ...

Air Canada Douglas Corporation 8

.... and as much as I love the nostalgic value of it, I wouldn't mind switching it to one of my other two favourite airlines/airliners: KLMMD11 or LHA340

Yes, WA was a good carrier. I flew them several times. I would have WAD10Spaceship as a user name if I couldn't use the one I'm using right now.

When I picked my username (which boringly enough are my inititals), I specifically refrained from including any airline and any aircraft (type or reg' ), as any such snap-shot favourites tend to change over the time.

I first tried to register as C160, the type of a/c that buzz over my house each day on approach to nearby ETNW (GAF Wunstorf), but due to user-error in the registration process, this became blocked for a while.
Now that I have been active for a couple of years here on A.net I still am happy with my user name.
Not using C160 also keeps people from erroneously thinking that I actually would work on one of these a/c ...

I mean I like BA(speedbird) and I like the A380 but I wish I could change it to my own name. This being an aviation forum I thought it would be good to use an aviation based name but now I wish I could change it!

I wanted to do something involving Midwest, but it was too long. But if I were absolutely forced to change it, I'd probably make it Midwest58 because I have probably been on that flight (OMA-DCA) more often than any other.

Midwest Airlines- 1984-2010
25 StarAlliance38 : I would do StarAllianceUS. Or maybe SarahPalinRules
26 HAWK21M : All my usernames are:- HAWK21M No price will influence the change regds MEL
27 LifelinerOne : Well, LifelinerTwo of course! Cheers!
28 USAIRWAYS321 : I've had my username for 7 years now, and I don't think I would want to change it after so long. However, I don't care for US Airways too much anymore
29 Qantasistheway : I would go with Rocketman, although I wouldn't be suprised if it was taken.
30 Airxliban : Somehow when I originally signed up, it wouldn't let me select AirLiban as my screenname because it was taken. But now I don't think it is taken anymo
31 HT : A simple check for "Rocketman" revealed: "There is no such username registered in the Airliners.net discussion forum." -HT
32 NoUFO : "Triebwerk" is nice (welcome, btw), but I would rather go back to my actual first name.
33 MCOflyer : My new user name would be a combo of: My nickname My favorite tractor company My favorite model Can anyone guess? Hunter
34 Ihadapheo : Hmm, let me see Your Nickname >>> I'll pass on this one Your Favorite tractor Company>>>> SkyTractor Your Favorite Model >>>> 82-90XL
35 MCOflyer : KingVN300 would be new user name. Hunter
36 Vhqpa : If I didn't choose Vhqpa i'd proberly choose between Qantas61 or Ansett155. But I'm happy with Vhqpa Vhq
37 LASOctoberB6 : I don't really like my username anymore. I wish I was smart and made up WEStJet91 for my screen name..
38 FlyDeltaJets87 : I'm content with FlyDeltaJets87, 87 being the year I was born. My a.net screenname would have been "TripleSevenPhil" but it was too long by one charac
39 MCOflyer : I came close going with something semi related but loved the ring of MCOflyer. Now it sounds like a callsign. Hunter
40 Post contains links Duke : "erracht" - a username I use on a number of other boards, such as the bagpipe forum www.bobdunsire.com . The name is derived from that of Alan Cameron
41 PHLBOS : At the time, I just picked something that covered the 2 geographic areas that have been home to me: PHL & BOS. This username may not make as much sens
42 KAUST : I am quite content with my user name, as well. Only problem it poses is the fact that it is technically too long for "KAUS" and does not quite spell o
