I recently got an iPod Nano and I have a couple of questions about it. They're no doubt dumb questions, but I've checked the manual to no avail. How do I turn the iPod off? How do I stop a song?

Cheers.

To turn off the ipod you hold down the pause button until it turns off - also, there is no way to stop a song other than pausing it.

Hit the pause button to do both. First, the song will pause, and then if nothing else is done the iPod will turn itself off after a while.

Be sure to check the "lock-function" at the top or bottom of the type of Nano you have. Useful, especially when travelling to ensure that the IPOD stays off and does not "inadvertently" be turned on when you have no intention of actually using it.

Ahh watch out for that, thats simply 'sleep mode' - it still consumes a lot more battery than if you actually turn it off. To turn it off, hold down the pause button until the device turns off.
