Me too DC3 cowboy. 30 was a nightmare, and life as we know it might just as well have ceased. By 40 I'd grown up and it didn't bother me. Ditto all the subsequent birthdays. (Although I must admit that applying for my "Seniors Card" was a bit of a worry, and I'm still too embarrassed, after 2 weeks, to use it. But since retiring I've lost the beer gut, cut the hair real short so the recedes don't show as much, feel great, look good (to me, at least), and am having a ball. There's hope yet, TWAL 1011.

It gets worse before it gets better. What you have to aim for is that stage where senility takes over enough so that you're really enjoying it.
Just hang about with older people and keep reminding yourself that you're the youngest in the room. (Of course, you reach a stage when it's harder to find older people....
