My favorite flag after the Red White and Blue (USA) would be Kazakstan. The Hawk and the sun are very traditional and represent life.

In the last post it says that those flags were finalists in a new flag competition. Is Australia going to get a new flag for sure? The middle flag of the three smaller ones is GREAT!

Australia is not at present planning to change its flag, although it is nice to dream. Although Australia is a member of the Commonwealth of nations, not all member states have the union jack on their flag. For example: Canada, Zimbabwe, India, South Africa, Nauru, and Ireland.
But I must admit, I HATE the bloody tea towel in the corner of our present flag. I do like the top small flag above though.
