Heard this on the radio this afternoon:

A German man who put his yacht up for sale online had to let it go for 22 Euro after forgetting to put a reserve price. Bonehead!

After Monday and Tuesday even the calendar says WTF...

You'd be hard pressed to call a 20 year old 21' sailboat a 'yacht'.....
You gotta love the media...

The attached pic makes it that much more humorous...

"About the only way to look at it, just a pity you are not POTUS KFLLCFII, seems as if we would all be better off."

Well he could have done like some folks on eBay do, and charged an overinflated shipping price.....

I wonder how much he spent with this court case? I'm sure it was enough to now make him regret forgetting to set a reserve.

Husker Auto Group in Nebraska learned a hard lesson a few months ago. They put a brand new BMW M3 on eBay and forgot to set a reserve (or set the reserve too low I forget). Well when the successful bidder won the auction, the dealer indicated the auction was a mistake and they were not willing to sell the car for that price.

So the customer went to an BMW Owners discussion forum to seek advice and ignited a firestorm of bad press regarding the sale. Long story short, they honored the price on a different car but the dealer's reputation was ruined.
