Something my former Grandma-in-law showed me 15 years ago.

On either spring or fall equinox it is possible to stand a raw egg on end on a flat surface.

The theory being that the earth is spinning evenly about its axis. (No wobble)

At this time I have 14 eggs out of an 18 pack standing on end on my kitchen counter.

Go try it. It takes a little patients and deft reflexes, but once standing, they will stay there.

Well, there must be a bit of a wobble on the axis in Australia, 'cos I've got eggs everywhere, and none of them standing neatly on end!
Happy now??!!

Try this one then.
Hold an egg between you thumb and forefinger, end to end.
Then squeeze and try and break it.
You can't!

NZ767,
my brothers friends have asked everybody to do that and when they asked my brother eventually, he did it and it exploded.... dont think it was a bad egg either, other people were trying with the same egg... He did it again to another one to prove it as well... hehe

Years ago they lowered a London double decker bus onto four eggs, one under each wheel, and they didn't break.
Hell, that one that broke must've been from a bad batch.
Shoot the chicken!!  Big thumbs up
