Sorry I can't find that in the article you linked.

If something is happening...surprisingly there is nothing on the TV about this on any of the major news channels.

I hope it turns out to be a false alarm...Montreal has had more than their share of school/university shootings!

That CBS article is from 2006 but the situation does also appear to be present-day..however reporting no injuries and no blood and unsure if really a shooting...

It's at the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQÀM)

MONTREAL — Montreal police rushed to a downtown university on Thursday afternoon after reports of a loud noise that some people believe may have been gunshots.

That was the Dawson College shooting a couple of years ago.

Dawson college, in effect is high school age students. The way schooling in Quebec works is that you go to school until grade 11 (17 years old) when you graduate from high school. For those wanting to continue on to university must then enter what's called CÉGEP (Collège d'enseigement général et professionel) for two years. Dawson College is an English language CÉGEP. That was tragic.

So far, no sign of injury or blood at UQÀM. Let's hope it stays that way. This event also comes just days after the 9th anniversary of the 6th December shooting at the École polytechnique de Montréal that killed 14 women.

I knew there was a shooting but I had contradictory links. Thank you very for rectifying the situation.

Where do you get the "4 wounded" from? Your own link says that it was firecrackers and no one was injured.
