White Tigers at the zoo in Singapore, it took until my fourth visit to the zoo to finally get a shot of these beautiful animals, lucky we went when we did because the tigers attacked and killed a staff member the following day and their enclosure was closed to the public for a considerable period afterwards.

Mine is one of those "80% luck, 20% talent" shots... taken at the main Zagreb cemetery on All Saint's:
30 sec exposure (with a tripod obviously) of mourners moving to and fro along the main cemetery road. "The light" is just a spotlight illuminating the "central cross" as it is called, a bit diffused due to some haze...

Yes, that was in the Phrom Phong district where the food vendors come out in the evening.
I thought it was adorable and took the photo.
Did you fly to Bangkok on a a Finnair MD-11?
I was about to buy a ticket on Finnair to Singapore on that trip but found a better deal on Cathay Pacific and ended up getting Business class on the upper deck of their 747.
Quoting Daleaholic (Reply 3): Taken by me at a wedding which I was photographing.
Great photo!
Looks like her dress is about to come off. Did you get a picture of that?

That looks awesome!
Quoting Photopilot (Reply 6): Here's one that I really liked that. It's a group of curious school children in Havana Cuba that I shot this past February. I love the range of expressions that the different children have.
Nice pictures.
Reminds me of my trip to Cuba several years ago.
I need to re-scan in all of those photos from that trip.
The hosting site I was using at the time went under without notice.
I wasn't using a digital camera at that time.

Yes, first I had AY A343/CX 772 to BKK via HKG, the return leg on AY MD-11. Probably BKK will be the last AY destination to see MD-11 in spring 2010, have to say I don't miss them...
Did you planned to book AY to SIN this year? Actually their BKK-SIN route was axed 2007, when they decided to serve non-stop routes only.
Sorry, going off the non-aviation topics.. ,)
Great photos guys!

Yes, this was back in March of this year.
The MD-11 was listed as the aircraft type on the flight that day. I even saw it at the gate.
Perhaps an equipment sub?
I wish I could show off some of my favorite pictures I took this year but they aren't appropriate for an all ages forum.

Probably some misunderstanding here.
AY haven't served SIN since summer 2007. They used to fly HEL-BKK-SIN, now HEL-BKK.
From Finnair's web site (history):
"In June 2007............. due to increases in Indian and Chinese traffic, it was decided to discontinue connecting flights from Bangkok to Singapore. The change meant that Finnair flies directly to all long-haul destinations without stopovers." http://www.finnairgroup.com/group/group_14_8.html

Only problem I see is that in #2, nothing is really focused on. The plant (I assume is the main focus) is out of focus a bit. Nevertheless, better than anything I could do.

Maybe you might want to try manual focus if you get another opportunity?
All of these photos are amazing.. I particularly like #1 and #3 because of the reflection but the tigers and the other images are also great. I'm freaked out by that cemetery image!
