I think he had a tv show called Secret Agent or something like that in the mid 60's. He also played the warden of Alcatraz in the Clint Eastwood movie "Escape from Alcatraz" made around 1979. I guess tho he will always be No 6 and now he got out of the village.  Yeah sure

too bad most of us get too soon old and too late smart

Danger Man. I've often heard The Prisoner described as a spin-off from that but I didn't see any of it and I can't find any confirmation.

It was originally supposed to be billed a spy show (like Danger Man) but they weren't really the same concept in the end.

I think the point was more that his character in Danger Man could have become the character in the Prisoner. As I said, I can't find anything to back that up.

I've always enjoyed Patrick McGoohan's performances, starting with his portrayal of John Drake in Dangerman in the 1960's.

Almost everytime I take something out of a package and put the pieces together, I am reminded of scenes from Dangerman where John Drake extracts all those cleverly concealed spy gadgets and deftly assembles them for use!

RIP

I'd always thought of The Prisoner as a spin-off or more accurately a continuation of his character in the earlier series. I always considered #6 to be Drake. Maybe, maybe not - that was one of the interesting things about the show.
