Wow.. they had a shot of Kennedy walking into the luncheon and he looked great in light of what he has been through over the last few months. Great color and looked to be in great spirits.

Yeah, msnbc.com had a headline saying they were both "stricken", whatever that means.

According to ABC, he's now in the hospital and "he will be fine" according to his family.

Look on the brightside, at least a woman wasn't in the car when he collapsed....

Bad joke, I know.

It sounds like Senator Kennedy had a seizure and Senator Byrd collapsed. CNN talked to a Senator from Utah who thinks Kennedy will be fine.

He was being driven around in a wheelchair when Bush entered the helicopter to be flown out to Andrews AFB. Presumably he was driven by limousine to whereever he needed to go now that he's out of his job.

Apparently the Governor of Wyoming sent the state aircraft to take him back.

It was reported that Cheney strained his back badly while packing up to leave. He was in the wheelchair all day.

Yes. Doctor's said it was a stroke induced by "fatigue". He should be released from hospital tomorrow (today).

I do have to wonder why we don't have an age limit on service.

I'm getting a bit tired of watching these folks die in office.

Somehow we feel it's unsafe to pilot an aircraft in pax service at 65, but one can be one of the 50 most important legislators in to your 90s like Strom Thermon (sp?) or 83 like Ted Stevens.

At 78 Ted Kennedy is one of the more youthful members!

I'm sorry to hear Mr. Kennedy is having health issues. I wish it weren't so. But if the stress of yesterday was enough to bring on a seizure, maybe he should consider retirement. It'd be a real tragedy to have him drop dead in the Senate.
