That poodle probably misses the lime light is all. A private mass with the Pope, quick jaunts with Madame on the Concorde for a weekend in New York, or a relaxing sail on the QE2. When life was simply nicer. Retirement is a B@tch.
Now it is RyanAir, a yellow cab, church down the street and an EasyCruise if I'm lucky.

Maybe we could give Chirac's dog to ex-President George W. Bush. The Bush's dog, Barney is known for having a bad disposition too - well, at least with the press corp.

Ahhhh.... the dog was a Maltese/Poodle Mix not a poodle. (The couple's white Maltese poodle, called Sumo, has a history of frenzied fits and became increasingly prone to making "vicious, unprovoked attacks" despite receiving treatment with anti-depressants, Chirac's wife Bernadette said.)
I'm not sure if you've ever owned one but I have and she was an amazing dog.....the best dog ever.....
Most dogs that are not nice are a reflection of their owners and environment. The dog in question has had a past history of "frenzied fits & vicious, unprovoked attacks".

So stupid! Poodles were originally bred as retrievers for water fowl and are very intelligent. They like to get wet and swim and were used to fetch ducks etc. which their master shot, from lakes and swamps.
Later their intelligence made them to be used for circus tricks. Only later theybecame lap dodgs.

I never knew that dogs were good judges of character, evidently this one is.
