What You Get To Find In The Restrooms Of MIA!

Hey everyone,

I've seen several threads about MIA on a.net and certainly one can't never get enough. Last week I had a quick layover there and, after grabbing a bite and wander around the terminal, I went to the restrooms.

Right after washing my hands, for my surprise (and the poor Cuban cleaning guy's) there was an USED condom on top of the trash can. And when I say used, I absolutely mean every letter on that word (trying to avoid getting a bit too graphic here).

At first, I was astonished as I thought: what!? where!? how!? Then, I just got distracted by the humongous curse the cuban dude yelled. I couldn't help myself to burst in laughter, as well as other spanish speaking people inside the restroom.

Now, seriously, how in heaven!?

Anything familiar to you all?

Cheers!

No rubbers but I stopped to eat breakfast in a Denny's near VCV on my way to LAX and the bathroom was the worst I have ever seen. Look like it hadn't be cleaned in 3 years. Smelled so bad I relieved my self and made sure I was at least a foot from the urinal and didn't even go near the sink as I ran out the door. Wish I had my camera.

It's really pretty simple. Two people went into the bathroom and used one of the stalls. People have sex everywhere, everyday. Including airports and airplanes. Not really that much of a surprise. I have an Icelandic friends who's used the bathroom at BOS's terminal B a couple times.

Was "former" Senator Larry Craig in town by any chance?

No, he was just reaching down to pick a piece of toilet paper off the stall floor... And he just happened to have a "wide stance."

Went to a Denny's Diner in Grandview (Kansas City) when I was nine. The now-brownish-yellow-yet-formerly-white Toilets had little presents awaiting the next victim, toilet paper EVERYWHERE, not one clean toilet. And the smell?! Never went back.

The Denny's closed down a few years later.

Not sure this one will ever close, it did the most business I ever seen. Mostly due to the fact it was the only decent place to eat for miles. Just make sure you have already went to the bathroom.  biggrin

Dude I gotta tell you, this is perhaps the most crowded restroom in MIA. Right next to the AA counters in concourse E, outside the security area. It would be very obvious so I highly doubt it was an easy task.

Moreover, the shit was freshly thrown into the garbage, and ON TOP of the other trash... which means was recent. At noon. You tell me if it's that simple!

Maybe a guy had a quick tug before he flew :p

Seriously, a pair of gloves and some paper towel and away it goes. I personally don't see the need to post about it. It's no different than picking up dirty used toilet paper or garbage IMO.

It could have just been a practical joke too, I heard of this being done before. Leave a condom which looks used in a public place. It was on the side of the can someone might have put it there unpurpose so people see it.
Either way funny story. (it could happen anywhere)

In the early 1990's it wasn't uncommon at EWR to see junkies shooting up or homeless persons washing themselves in the rest rooms on the pre-security areas of the terminal buildings.

You do realize that the employees who prepare and serve your food use the same restroom?

As for the MIA incident, could the user have actually put it in the trash can and not on top of it?
Or better yet, have flushed it down the toilet. You don't think this was a drug mule re-claiming his baggage in stall number 3?  Wow!

Hadnt thought of that one...several years back an Air Jamaica flight had to emergency land bc of a pax whose "cargo" exploded in his stomach. Sadly, he didnt ever get the chance to deliver the goods...
