I was just stunned to see all three people miss this question. Now I know I'm an aviation fan and all, but really?

The question was something like:

The U.S. Air Force's C-130 "Hurricane Hunters" are the only U.S. military aircraft allowed to overfly this country's airspace.

Now for the worst part. The responses were: North Korea, China, and Iran...

Anybody have any guesses what the answer might be?  sarcastic

Cheers,
Cameron

LOL! Was this a preteen tournament or something? Even then it would be sad to get that question wrong...

Geez. I thought smart people would know that they are not called hurricanes anywhere else!! North Korea and China have typhoons, and I think if a storm hit Iran from the Indian Ocean they call it a cyclone.

Heh, gotta be honest, my immediate first thought was Mexico  duck

What was the category?

Here's another gem from Jeopardy (not from Final Jeopardy though) that I saw a few months ago:

Alex Trebek: "This distance is 9.46 trillion kilometers, give or take a few kilometers"
Contestant: "What is the diameter of the Earth?"

"Two and a Half Men" was filmed in front of a live ostrich.

Yeah, I saw this today, as I am a Jeopardy fan. When this Final Jeopardy was given, I thought...Cuba, of course. What an easy Final. They should all get it. Then I was totally shocked to see that not one got it, and that the guesses were all from other parts of the world even! Three very intelligent contestants, yet stumped on what I thought was an almost give-away Final!! You never know, I guess!

I had EXACTLY the same reaction. I was like, well, I would be rich, but everyone else is going to get it, too.

If you like Jeopardy, have you ever been to www.j-archive.com? It's an awesome website that has all the puzzles, what peoples guesses were.

Quoting BlueElephant (Reply 8):

 rotfl

Exactly. The worst part is, as AzoresLover said, all three were pretty good players.

Cheers,
Cameron

My dad and I were quite saddened by that too when we saw it. I scanned the question and immediately said Cuba. It seemed way to obvious to be anything else.

Iran was the best of those  rotfl
