From my side, here is the best tip ...
If your inkjetprinter cartridge dries out , dont throw it away. It can be re-used by keeping the cartrdge fully dipped in hot water for say about 20 minutes. Mind it, its not he boilng water. I did it last week and stillusing that cartridge.

Where I live, and maybe elsewhere in the USA, they have this rule that you can get a speeding ticket dismissed if you take a 'defensive driving' course. Its about an 8 hour course you can take in a classroom or even online now. You're supposed to be able to get rid of 1 ticket every two years this way. Any more tickets than this and you just have to deal with it, e.g., usually pay a fine.
But, I found out that they don't really have a way to check and see if you've already had your 1 ticket (per two years) dismissed or not. This is especially true if you get your tickets in two different counties or towns.
In other words, every time you get a ticket, you can just keep telling them you want to take defensive driving, and they just keep dismissing the new tickets you get.
So, theoretically, you could get dozens of tickets and your record could stay clean. However, I think its probably better if you use this technique only at most once or twice a year.
kind regards,

Rogue, I was planning to do the same thing here where I live but I was told that if you do this in Texas it automatically becomes an undismissable felony. In the meantime my last ticket has been lost and I am still in limbo.

"undismissable felon": I don't think there is such thing. If you're really serious about getting rid of the ticket, take the class and if they call you out on it, just play stupid and say you thought you could do it for every ticket anyway.

If your mortgage payment is dangerously late, send them an unsigned check for the amount. They send it back to you, but show it as paid. Then you sign and remail it. It buys you about a week.

JetService,
I've actually had several checks processed that were not signed. I didn't do it on purpose, but had just put the check in the envelope without paying attention. Later, when the check comes back has still been paid, even though there is no sig.

WHY would a company show a RETURNED check as "paid"?? It's not paid yet, until the valid check is their mitts. Don't understand that.

Lax, the mortgage company never notices its unsigned and your bank is the one that kicks it back to them when they try to cash it. By then, it has been processed as a payment.
Another useful tip: Don't put a pissed-off cat in your sleeping bag.

OK, I got ya!
You (above) said "they" send it back....
I assumed you were saying the mortgage co. is sending it back, but STILL marking the thing as paid, without really having a valid check.
But you were saying it's the bank sending it back.
Pretty neat time-killer (if you can get by with it).

Tip: DO NOT place any beverage near your computer keyboard!! It's not a pretty sight when it soaks your board!

Never forget your dorm key when you take a shower. Its no fun sitting outside for 20 minutes wearing just a towel.

Rogue,
The last time I did the class I did it online. It was completed last May. I'm not doing anything now since the last ticket supposedly has been lost according to the city secretary but I hope it will still show as "lost" the next time I may be stopped.

I locked myself out of my hotel room in a fancy hotel. Fortunately I had on shorts, but they were ratty and I had nothing else on. I hated going down to the desk. But then the guy asked me if I had ID.

The control key on the keyboard lets you do some cool things. For example, instead of typing "www.whatever-dude.com" you can just type "whatever-dude" and hold the control key as you hit enter, and it fills in the http://www. .com"
Also, you can copy, cut, and paste with Ctrl-x, Ctrl-c, and Ctrl-v respectively. Remember this by: cut, X looks like scissors, C for Copy, and V, paste for insert.
