A sad loss for British TV.

I'm just watching her on an old episode of the Likely Lads I have on DVD.

So sad. I only ever saw her in Are You Being Served. She was very funny. When she tried to change herself to impress the millionare "Round about 4 pounds..." HA!

I've watched EastEnders pretty much all my life, it was something always on in my house and Pauline was one of those legendary characters that will always be remembered. Wendy made it her own.

Here's one of those classic Pauline Fowler scenes:

Tonights EastEnders is dedicated to Wendy Richard .

Actually still being shown from time to time on various PBS stations here in the USA. Still funny after all these years, and even funnier when they make references to things that were happening in the 1970s.

Inspiration, move me brightly!

Such a sad loss of a great actress. I didn't realise she was in the Likely Lads, but do remember her from Are You Being Served? and the Carry On films and she was quite a funny actress. May she rest in peace.

Like Sunshine79, I did not realise she was on the LLs. Ah they are sadly missed and have never been repeated here. But Ms Brahms has just blessed our screens on a commercial station set of repeats. I have a feeling she was in a few other things and I failed to recognise her. But great talent and indeed a sad loss.

Such a sad loss to the British TV industry. I loved her in ''Are you being served'' and also EastEnders.

I met her once when I was on a cruise ship in the Caribbean. She was really nice and spoke to everyone. Very down to earth.

There was recently a program on her history , I think it could have been the program ''Who do you think you are'' Which is an excellent series.

RIP  tombstone

There was a great program on after Eastenders last night which looked back at her life and career.

It's now available on BBC I-Player for people in the UK.

Also, last nights Eastenders was watched by nearly 10 million people following the news of her death.

I had only seen her in "Are You Being Served?" but that show has always been one of my favorites. I loved her character (she could hold her own against Mrs. Slocombe), and always thought she was sexy... Very sorry to hear of her death!

I watch the re-runs every night here in the US on public TV...a very big loss indeed. RIP Miss Brahms!  tombstone
