Should We Log In Before We Chat?

I don't like the fact that anyone can use my screen name so Johan, could you please make it so we have to long in before we chat. Only members do. Others that aren't members can long into any name, except 10,000 reserved names of the members. What do you think? Any comment, Johan, would be nice.

Here's another problem w/ the chat: I'll sign in using my screenname and correct password, and it tells me that the password is wrong. Every single time it tells me that. I've tried it 20+ times...

Sorry, its been a while since I used chat. I go into it and put 'Hurricane' as the nickname. When I get into the chat, it tells me that 'Hurricane' is a registered nickname, and that I have to give a password. I give my password, and it tells me that it is incorrect. It tells me to type it within 30 seconds or so, or it will change my screenname.  Confused

First, I'd suggest getting mIRC (www.mirc.com) if you're going to chat much.

Second, when you get in there, type "/ns register password email@address.com" into the box there. Then your name is saved. Johan can't do anything about it-- its not his IRC network.
