I came across this link last night after a friend e-mailed it to me. It's of Arafat yelling and sounding like Hitler during a CNN interview. He also hangs up on the reporter after becoming extrememly irate.

Let's say you have been stuck in a single room for the better part of a week, without electricity, with just a cell phone and a couple of batteries, and outside the room are hundreds of enemy troops who just can't wait for any excuse to put a bullet in you, and there is no probability of a friendly force driving them away. In the meantime, what little infrastructure your country has, like housing developments and roads (ever see what a tank does to a city street?) are being destroyed.

Wouldn't that make you just a little bit irritable?

Charles

" for the better part of a week"

More like a few hours when he gave the Christiane Amanpour interview.  Insane

Since when does Arafat cares about his country's infrastructure? Why didn't he do anything to improve it through all the years he's been in power?

I agree with Charles.

I also suggest that the Americans were being quite rude themselves, which most likely prompted the outburst (if it was indeed Arafat). Actually, first time I heard it I thought it was a fake .. that stupid voice the reporter has! Where did he get that from? DISNEY?

Anyway .. Arafat may have been rambling, but then so was the American .. and he wins no friends by laughing at someone for struggling with English .. can the reporter speak Arabic? Bet you he can't.

CNN are very STUPID.

They want to make you pay to watch their stupid videos.

I was hoping to get a good viewing of the thing with Christiane and Yasser but instead I got the thing that I have to pay.

What a load of c-word. Where can I get the actual video?

I'm glad he is held up in there. He hasn't done anything at all to prevent terrorism from his country. So my advice to Isreal is: Shoot 'em.

I gotta admit though, those Americans were being jerks......but funny jerks lol.

If the bible says that, then we can all be sure it was written by a person. God in reality cannot consider anyone more special than anyone else if God created everything.

I'm not telling you how to live your life. You can worship whatever holy book or god or gods you want. I don't care. Still, I'm interested (and I genuinely AM) as to why you believe everything written in the Bible and as to why you see the Bible as being true and the other books as being lies.

777236ER, what the frack do you care what Dell_Dude thinks about the Bible. Obviously, you don't think much of it, and you obviously don't think much of anyone who does believe in it, so what's your point?

And I see you foud someone besides the US and Israel to blame now, and that's God. ROTFL.

First, the reporter, Christiane Amanpour is a woman. Second, she certainly doesn't sound like an American. Her accent is more British to me.

I do not believe Christiane Amanpour is American. --You have to remember that CNN reporters come from and are stationed all over the world. Everytime I go overseas, I see correspondents representing every inhabited continent on earth.

Actually Amanpour was born in London and her parents are Iranian. I'm fairly certain she speaks several languages including Arabic.

She is CNN's top international correspondent and is married to an American Jew, Jamie Rubin, a former Assistant Secretary of State to Secretary Madeline Albright.

Interesting life she's lived, interviewed many muslim leaders in person: Khatami, Musharraf, King Abdullah, late King Hussein.

She graduated from the University of Rhode Island, where my Palestinian proffesor Samer went!

I consistently get the feeling that people resent United States' involvement in foreign affairs. We just can't seem to please everybody.

I propose that the US get out of the UN and that the UN get out of the US.

The US could then enter bilateral agreements with sovereign Nations for trade and if they would like the protection of our laws and armed forces, they could pay for it.

Otherwise, we would stay the heck away from any strife that happened away from our borders. Not our problem, it's there's.

It's not going to happen though, this world is too small now a days. Get over it!

There are four groups of people on this planet:

The Enlightened: First World Citizens.

The Ashamed Enlightened: First World Citizens that for some reason feel guilty for being free.

The Oppressors: Madmen that are able to control a population over a small geographic area through terror. Unwilling to allow education and technology into their reign less their influence be undermined.

The Oppressed: Subjects of the former. They are however being enlightened by the media and technology.
