I've noticed from the newspaper that from 24 May,2002,Yahoo e-mail will charge US$29.99 a year and Hotmail will be the same as well.I just wanna make sure if what I saw is correct.If that's the case,that's too bad and I have to say *)@U%&~**@)$.....cos' it's so irrational..Can anyone please tell me more about it?(or if I'm wrong?)

You have to realize if a service is "free", there is a cost to whoever is providing it. They are not going to lose money persey just so you can have free email.
From the article I read in the USAToday, Yahoo and Hotmail will start charging for extra services, such as larger mailboxex (they already do now), and other options such as being able to check other email through yahoo and such. From what I gather, the basic service will still be free.
