Looks like Thailand is having yet another political crisis much more violent this time. Looks like the troops opened fire on demonstrators and injured around 70 of them. Tourist numbers already affected by the crisis and previous coup they will be sent plummeting down if this instability continues.

The news is reporting it as such but this 'crisis' will be short-lived, unlike the airport takeover and PM residence sit-ins of last fall. The red shirts are (in many cases) paid representatives of the fraudulent rural voter bloc that supports ousted PM Thaksin Shinawatra. There is an outstanding warrant for his arrest and despite his supporters' pleas that he return to power will be subject to arrest upon any attempt to enter the country he sold down the river. Unlike the previous demonstrations, which were necessary to force the courts to act against corrupt Thaksin elements still operating in the government, these are nothing more than revenge by his supporters.

The military supports the current government and thankfully that precludes any possibility of a coup by these bought and paid for "protesters".

May be, but during the last crisis there were no shots fired and people did not die. This time unfortunately, there were plus they attack governement officials including PM.
