And one women did exactly that to her boyfriend's dog. Now she has more trouble than just not liking the mutt.

Try taping her upside down for a few hours, and see how she likes it.

Exactly. Anyway, if the picture is anything to go by then I'd rather put her up for adoption at the local pound and keep the dog.

The society said Thursday that Beck has signed over custody of Rex, and the dog will be put up for adoption after going through some training.

Seems like he had to get rid of it either way. Sad, really. Hope the dog is able to trust humans after what she did, as it seems to need training, per the article.

. I work for a local animal shelter and the things we see and hear from people makes you want to throw up.

One of the things we are investigating is trying to find out who in the Tomball, TX area is grabbing dogs, taping their legs together and taping their mouths shut and then tossing them in ditches in NW Houston. This has been going on for quite some time. Fortunately there is a private citizen in the area that has been on the lookout for this activity and has helped us recover these dogs before it is too late. I think it's just too much "bubba factor" in this area.

Remember, responsible pet owners don't let their dogs run loose unsupervised.

I hope the prosecutor gets the court to throw the book at these two. Anyone who can do something so heinous to a domestic animal needs to be locked away.
