OK, so our 5 year anniversary is coming up this week.

And considering we have a 10 day old newborn in the house, an extravagant vacation weekend is not an option.

I did a quick search on-line and found that "wood" is the theme this year.

Any thoughts on what to give?

That just works at so many levels...... Big grin but I must resist the urge....

A nice wooden sculpture maybe?

Maybe not a weekend, but maybe a couple of hours when the little baby is sleeping for a while. You can be there for her, massage her or something like that. Be there for her, cook something nice for her. No need to spend money, just give her some special time to show her how much you love her and appreciate the relationship...

Just my thought.

I'm struggling to resist here, particularly as getting wood was clearly the root cause of now not being able to go on an extravagant weekend away.  biggrin

Oh, believe me, I knew the wood jokes are up and coming (more puns!!) but considering we've got 2 kids, she's not lacking.

THanks for the thought Phil. Believe it or not though, quiet time at home is not lacking right now.

Well in that case....why don't you give her a snowglobe with a woody snowman!

I would suggest sending her away on a nice spa/massage day and then cooking a lovely meal for her and buy her something she'd like, perhaps some sort of ornament..Wooden in nature of course.

I don't think that is a good idea with a 10 day old baby at home.  Wink
