What class of vessel crashed on a planet where the supposed occupants (In spirit form I guess you would call it) of said vessel took over Data, O'brien and Troi (But of course they were not from the ship and were prisoners)

As you know,Mark Lenard played Ambassador Sarak,Spock's dad,in most of the movies. But Lenard also played the heavy in two Star Trek appearances, one in a ST movie, briefly, and once in a TV episode which I consider one of the best of that TV series show.
What were those two roles? Can you also name the TV episode?

Quoting LHR380 (Reply 14): Of course, the very first time we saw the Romulan's, that was a good episode. Both seemed to respect each other.
Correct. The US episode title was a "Balance Of Terror." It was sort of a "Enemy Below"(submarine movie) version of deep space. This eposide also exposed the "new weapon" which was the cloaking device which was later stolen by Kirk and crew in,"The Enterprise Incident" which was never exploited in the movies. The cloaking device reappeared in ST3.
Also, doing some looking up,and I forgot about that Lenard's,Ambassador Sarak role, was first used in another TV eposide,"Journey To Babel."

Tasha, oh Tasha, one of my favorite characters. I forever hated that oil slick monster thingy that took her. Was happy when she came back in that episode where the Enterprise C showed up again, and of course it got controversial when we met her daughter.
