This is hilarious. A young soldier from Fort Worth, Texas was resting in Afghanistan when they began to receive incoming fire. Without time to pull up his pants, he just grabs his gun.  Smile

I love it!

Army specialist, Zachary Boyd, got to his parents, just before the paper did, calling them from Afghanistan.

"He said, "Mom, I made the cover of the New York Times ,'" said Sheree Boyd.

"I just thought it would be him on patrol," said Tommy Boyd.

"I thought, well, somebody in the family's making it into the paper, so I was excited," said Sheree Boyd.

Stay safe, Zachary

That is hilarious. Way to go Zachary!

Now watch some dickwad higher-up in the Army with no sense of humor go thundering after this kid with an attempt at a reprimand for being out of uniform or something.

Way to go! Big grin

I remember a similar thing when I was at the army and my company was commanded to the border and one of the Sergeant majors was washing himself in his tent when there was a incoming call that there was suspect movement near the border and he ran in boots, underwear, gun and helmet towards the illegal immigrants and stopped them. He just forgot that it was -17° Celsius that day...... Big grin

It's not the color of a mans underwear that determines the color of his courage.

Keep at it, Specialist.

thanks and houah.

The pink boxers is not such a big deal, the enemy can't see that. What is a big deal is wearing that red shirt in the middle of a fire fight, might as well hold up a target for the enemy snipers and mortars to hone in on.
