I was just wondering how many aircraft are pictured airborne on Google Earth? I have found a couple in bound to ORD, and there is a cracking shot of a Qatar A340 shortly after departure from LHR, which I have added! Would be interested to see any others out there!

There is a 747(-400 pax I think) caught in flight as it approaches the Black Sea coast of Georgia. Type 'Poti' into the search field, and it will zoom in on a small port town, then follow the coast North about 10km and you'll see a white streak crossing the sky:

The image date says May 27th 2005, so I guess it would be possible to track down an exact registration if you could find out the destination and airline. The fuselage looks white, but the tail appears dark; LH or SQ perhaps?

The best one in this link I think would be the cruise missle in flight!  Wow!
Just at the right place at the right time.

Actually if you look really close you can see wings, they blend in with the background!

Kinda makes you wonder if that was intentional...

If you scroll directly due west of runway 10/28, there is an American Airlines DC-9 (I think... I'm not too hot on the DC-9 / MD-80 series identifications!) just after the multi lane highway, over a field, on approach to runway 10. I scrolled back a lot further as well, as there used to be a couple of UA aircraft (757, 777) but they seem to have been taken off.

Just found this image as well, which is just to the south east of the field, just to the right of the area marked Schiller Park. Don't know how this has been done, I guess two images have been laid over each other. If not, there was a near miss incident here!

The best thing about the QR A346 departure is that you can see the plane's shadow 3 times, but only see the plane once!
