We plan to renovate a few of our properties in Vancouver including our holiday home.

We need some new furnitures.

Any value for money/good furniture shops you recommend? Apart from IKEA? Anything of a higher class?

You should check out a Brick, its higher end than Ikea, but its not top of the line so it would provide a good value. Its also a wearhouse so you can get good deals on decent stuff.

Keep the shinny side up!

The Brick is ok, but not a big fan of them.

I would also recommend "Sears Home." They have a wide selection of furniture at some very good prices. http://www.sears.ca/gp/browse.html/r...&searsBrand=core&me=A10FHFRJZ0GJG3

La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries have a very good selection and quality, not too expensive depending on what you are looking for. http://gallery.la-z-boy.com/vancouver/dpage.aspx?nspace=222

I would try Inspiration Furniture, they have really nice things and the prices are in the ball park of "reasonable" to right around "oh my".

Also Nood is pretty good, though they're a little more pricey.

Lastly, Scan Design has really nice furniture, mostly bedroom and living room.

Try taking a drive around United Boulevard in Coquitlam. They have a whole bunch of furniture stores and you're bound to find things you like there.

Edit for Scan Design's proper web address

We got all our stuff from JR Furniture on Bridgeport Road Richmond - there are a few furniture stores along there.

I'd stay away from the Brick. Their furniture isn't that great and their return policy is pretty much non-existant.
