The fashion house responsible for Air France's 2005-present uniforms, Christian Lacroix, has entered bankruptcy proceedings (similar to Chapter 11 here in the States) in France, and may be liquidated: http://www.independent.co.uk/life-st...own-christian-lacroix-1692559.html

In addition to designing and making uniforms for AF, Christian Lacroix also had a haute couture line, a ready-to-wear line, and (of course) a line of perfumes over the years (including the disastrous now-discontinued C'est la Vie).

Guess it's time for AF to find a new uniform supplier (French, of course), preferably to match their new livery. May I suggest Jean-Paul Gaultier?

If Jean-Paul Gauthier was allowed freedom to design a new uniform, the result would be outstanding.
I'm not sure the flight attendants would enjoy it though.

AF will have no problems in finding a new designer/manufacturer. I'm sure there are a lot of people already designing uniforms for them and get themselves globally recognised.

Will be interesting to see who they choose.  Smile

AF uniform design from Lacroix was made 3-4 years ago. I don't think they are planning to renew anytime soon...

They have plenty of time for the lucky designer...

KL are getting a new uniform, perhaps AF could use the same suppliers?
