We would like to rent a service apartment or a flat with furnitures around Yaletown (Drake Street etc) or downtown Vancouver, Canada for a month in order to renovate our holiday home. Or somewhere nearby. All of our other Canadian properties have been rented out

We are looking for something decent and yet value for money.

Any suggestions? How much+where are they? Thanks

Just a little FYI... with respect to Vancouver, there is no such thing as "value for money".

Good luck!

A lot better than Hong Kong still. Big grin

I've dealt with Vancouver Extended Stay, which is located downtown YVR. Their website is www.vancouverextendedstay.com

Ask for Susan - she's very helpful, but as has been alluded to above, prices are expensive for furnished accommodations in YVR. Expect to pay well upwards of $100 per night, especially in the high season (summer). Just checking their website, a one bedroom is on a "June Special" for $140 per night. Good luck!

Anything close to downtown but less than C$ 600-700 per week? Doesn't have to be smack downtown.

This is the only company that I dealt with at length in YVR, and when comparing prices, that's what it would cost for furnished accommodations in YVR. Keep in mind, there was a certain standard that I needed to get for this group. I was able to get better pricing than what was advertised, but I was dealing with 19 units over a five month period. Even then, I was unable to get pricing down to what you want, and this was off peak as well.

You can check Craigslist and Kijiji for ads to compare.

Finally, more in line with your price point, you can check out the Coast Plaza Suites Hotel, and other suite hotels for comparison. The Coast Plaza Suites website is http://www.coasthotels.com/hotels/ca...ackages_and_specials/extended_stay

Hey United Airline, I visited the places at Vancouver Extended Stay, and they are exceptional. I never got the chance to visit the hotel above, but they seem to be pretty good. Sorry I don't have more info.

Thanks a lot!

What about the ones at Richmond or further away from downtown?

BTW is Yaletown part of downtown?
