What is your favorite fast food restaurants and your least favorite?

My favorite fast food joint when it comes to burgers is In n' Out and Johns in Long Beach, great burgers, great fries and the service is great, middle of the road is McDonald's and Carl's Jr, so so is Wendy's and Burger King and not so good is Jack In The Box, the restaurant is always dirty and the food is thick with grease.

When it comes to chicken, KFC is good and Popeye's is good too just not the biscuits.

Taco bell used to be good but the hard shell tacos have almost nothing in them, and the enchiladas are droopy with brown lettuce and the service is sometimes bad, one time the young lady behind the counter had an attitude with me for no reason. Del Taco has improved recently with good tacos, fries and burgers.

When it comes to pizza non of the pizza chains are very good at all, not Domino's, not Pizza Hut, not Papa Johns though better than the first two. The good pizza comes from the non chain restaurants like Avenue 3 Pizza and Deli News in Long Beach.

All of the sandwich chains are pretty good like Subway, Quizno's and Togo's.

I used to LOVE Pollo Loco, when it was just whole chickens on the grill, fresh salsa, and fresh tortillas. Now it's a slightly less dreadful version of Taco Bell:-(.

Hardee's

I wish we had Hardees in the UK. The only place I've seen them outside of the US is Dubai.  Sad

My cousin in NC got me addicted to Taco Bell back in the late 80s, and for a while we even had a few in London, but they have since closed down. We even had Arby's for a while too, but again, they closed down (my local Arby's is now a tacky slot machine joint!).

I used to hate McDreadful's, but I'm actually quite impressed with the deli sandwiches they do these days. And I hate the waxy taste that Burger King burgers seem to have.

I can stomach Subways after a night on the beer, but I think I have only been in one here twice when sober!

I'd probably have to say though that my favourite local fast food places aren't actually chains. We have a kebab shop near where I live called Cappadocia, which does authentic Turkish kebabs, and the guy that runs it is actually from Cappadocia (one of my favourite places on earth!!).

Mostly because their customer service is horrible...75% of the time they get my order wrong. And my favorite is the way NO ONE counts out your change anymore when you pay with actual money. And last but not least, on top of not counting out your change, especially when you go thru the drive thru, when they hand back your change with the coins piled on top of the paper money, as you struggle to get your hand back in the car without dropping it all! Yes, I have some serious issues with McDonalds!

I wish we had those here on the West Coast.
Had 10 of them for dinner last month in Detroit after a long day of delays flying on US Airways.

Not sure if Subway really qualifies but if so, that would be my least favorite.
Over $5 for bread, lettuce and a thin slice off meat. A total ripoff.

Love Wendy's. Best burgers, and excellent ffries.

We have a KFC in our town that has got to be the absolute worst fast food place known to man. I've gone there more than once, and they've had no chicken cooking or ready; they have the most surley employees on the planet; and if they do have chicken, when you go to pay for it, they'll say "Oh, we forgot to put the fires on, that'll be another 20 minutes".

I like KFC in general, but that place is the worst.

Are you kidding me? I have never understood the attraction to White Castle. I am glad we do not have them in the West.

On that note:

My Best:
In-N-Out
Burgerville
Jack In The Box
Popeyes

My Worst:
Taco Time
Carl's Jr/Green Burrito
McDonalds
Burger King

I do not find Taco Bell as horrid as others on this thread say. Maybe, because I worked there for eight years, off and on, I have a "soft spot" for them. A sentamental favorite, if you will. Also, no one has mentioned Sonic. They would have gone on my "Best" list, but the one closest to me (in Hillsboro 45 miles away!) started selling Pickel-Os. That bumped them down a notch.

In-n-out is quite good. It's the freshness of everything that makes it so good.

Jack n' the Box has cheap and addictive tacos. Funny commercials too.

Sonic is good if you have a few more minutes. Drinks are very good. Unfortunately, I think their ads are the worst on television not involving feminine hygene so I am currently boycotting Sonic.

Panda Express is probably my biggest weakness though. I eat there way too often.

Having grown up in ABQ, I'm also a fan of a New Mexico only burger chain called Blake's Lotaburger. Good burgers and seasoned fries, but you will be lucky if any of the employees speak more than the most basic English.

Yummy milkshakes. Especially like the seasonal flavors they have every year. I also thought it was cool when they switched to cage-free eggs for all their restaurants.  bigthumbsup

Amen! I used to work for a Wendy's as a grill guy when I still lived in Pittsburgh. They do have some of the best burgers around next to Fuddruckers, but I wouldn't exactly call that fast food.

You want subpar fast food service? How about going to any burger King or McDonalds, ordering french fries with "as many ketchups as you have," only to have them give you a couple. I find that supremely annoying...

I haven't eaten at a McDonalds in a long time really. I usually try to avoid them, especially considering that I've had co-workers eat at various McD's only to have food poisoning shortly thereafter...
