Well, my Arkansas Razorbacks, facing elimination in the CWS, pulled off another come from behind victory in 12 innings last night in Omaha. I'm not sure how many more of these nailbiters I can take. They have to play LSU, again on Friday to stay in it. They've beat some pretty good teams, so far during the tournament and the regionals.........Oklahoma, Washington State, Cal State Fullerton, Virginia.

Here's hoping that they're fired up enough to play LSU again after the drubbing the Tigers put on them on Monday night.

Any thoughts or favorites???

Yes. Please beat LSU twice so we can beat the Piggies for the national title!  biggrin

Obviously, I'm a Texas fan, and having a blast with this team. This team doesn't know how to win pretty, but the more I watch them, the more I think they're the team of destiny. They don't win well, but they win nonetheless.

One thing this team is good at...nearly giving me heartattacks!

Seriously, this team has what it takes to win the title, IF WE CAN GET TIMELY HITTING. We have one of the best pitching staffs (probably the best left), one of the best defenses, and we play the fundamentals really well. That, combined with the best coach in college baseball history and experience in Omaha, I like our chances. With that said, lots of good teams left, and it could go any way.

Hook'em!

Cheers,
Cameron

For a minute, there, I thought you were describing the Razorbacks!

Actually, I'd give anything to beat LSU, TWICE, and take those smiles off of those smug LSU fans.

Other teams may have more talent than the Razorbacks, but I don't think anyone has more heart.

My 'Heels play Arizona State tonight at 7. Alex White pitched an incredible game in the first meeting, but our bats couldn't give him the run support that we needed to win. We'll have to see if Ackley and company can get things going. We beat 'Zona tonight and we have to beat Texas twice, that won't be fun!

Austin Wood will pitch another 13 innings hitless; Texas wins it all; Augie's 6th championship.

Hookem.

Possibly, but the Razorbacks have been counted out so many times already and, indeed, most probably didn't think they'd get this far, but, except for that hiccup last Monday against LSU, I'm not prepared to count them out of it, yet.

No dreaming, here. Arkansas has already beaten at least 4 or 5 teams that were seeded when they weren't. But, you Longhorns go ahead and get cocky and overconfident. That's they way we like 'em!

Whoops. We've got the Razorbacks right where we like 'em. On their way back to Fayetteville, while we continue to play.  biggrin

Hook'em!

Oh, ASU up 1-0 going to the bottom of the 3rd.

Just like that, Michael Torres hits a leadoff solo HR to tie the game at 1. Going to the 4th.

Congratulations to the LSU Tigers, who played an inspired 3rd game of the championship series to win their 6th national title. Texas got outhit, outpitched, outhustled, outsmarted, outplayed, and worst of all, out-hearted tonight.

Nevertheless, a huge thank you to this 2009 University of Texas Baseball team, a team that redefines the term "cardiac kids."

Hook'em!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers,
Cameron

P.S. When's football season? Big grin

What happened?? The same team that shellacked us, did the same to you.

BTW, I would say the Razorbacks could also be called the "Cardiac Kids" for a couple of those games they played.
