I can't wait. I'm sick of watching the repeats on Dave. Will be good to watch a new series. I don't think they should reveal who The Stig is. I think it's great the way they play him out to be from another planet/an air of mystery about him.

Quoting Danfearn77 (Thread starter): If there are any of you out there just as obsessed with Top Gear as i am, then it starts tonight on BBC 2 soon. Well in about half an hour actually!
Just saw it. Was an ok episode, definitely missing some substance, but I can't wait to see the rest of the series
Quoting Danfearn77 (Reply 3): The stig is......Michael Schumaker!!!! My god i wasnt expecting that!!
I'm sure it was nothing more than a joke. The "real" stig is taller and walks very differently than Schumi. I wouldn't be surprised if for the rest of the episodes have more surprise Stig presentations.

On a related note, who saw the James May programme that's part of the 40th anniversary of Apollo 11?
Not one the those seeking great detail or revelations, not supposed to be, May meets Moon-walkers Alan Bean, Charlie Duke and Harrison Schmitt, but the highlight was May's trip in a U-2 up to 70,000 feet.
Clearly very moved by the view from that altitude, I relate to a degree, having been up to 60,000 feet.

Quoting Pelican (Reply 19): And I guess the ordinary Stig wouldn't be as fast as M.S. in his personal race maschine
Some say......that his personal race machine is actually a red rocket with 4 wheels ...others say he flew to Dunsford in his Private Falcon 2000 that you can clearly see in the FXX lap...all we know is...he's not the stig
25 Bartonsayswhat: It doesn't have the required lights, and it doesn't have a hand brake, those two I know. There is also something suspension related. Its probably got
26 Greasespot: I just started watching this show when I was home sick....I an not even into cars much but these guys are brilliantly funny.....especially when they g
