Firefox 3.5 (unlike a certain Boeing product) actually made it out in the 2Q 2009, and is available for download now. This post is being made using the released version of FF 3.5.
It does seem noticeably faster than 3.0.11, but I am finding that the embedded video playback that I have seen so far is quite choppy. Does anyone else have the same experience?
The best time to plant a tree is 40 years ago. The second best time is today.
Thank you. Did not know it was available. Does seem a bit faster. Cannot comment on video playback - my broadband is too slow to be sure it is not my system!!
Got! -- Looks okay thus far, No noticable speed difference to be honest but I like the "New Tab" button -- I'd get very annoyed when I'd hit Ctrl+T and nothing would happen, then I'd double click the tab bar and still get nothing, then have to go into File... Should make it easier.
Otherwise, Seems like the same stock-standard Firefox... (It's a good thing.)

Looks snazzy. Im torn between that and Safari 4. Safari has been crashing on me quite a lot recently, and now Firefox has everything I need. (private browsing... just kidding.)

I just went and watched something on Youtube and found it a little jerkier than 3.0.11 - not too much different... It probably doesn't help I've got like 10 tabs open

I downloaded it and it works alright except for on YouTube. About every other video I try to watch, it says, "An error occurred, please try again later." This is the first time I have had a problem with a buggy release from Firefox in several years, what gives?

That's a little harsh, dontcha think? It's several orders of magnitude easier to upgrade a web browser than to design a revolutionary airliner.

YouTube has been having issues lately. I've gotten a few of those errors and I'm still using Firefox 3.0.8 without problems.

I figured it might have been YouTube, but it works just fine for me on Safari 4....making me think Firefox is complicating things to an extent.

Oh cool. I'm using the RC right now.... and dont't like it.
I'll post an update and tell if it got any better as opposed to the RC.
Revision
Well... Actually this is better than the RC that I had. It may be just the hype but it does seem to be faster.

I have no trouble with YouTube or Hulu. The only thing I'm having trouble with is the Imageshack toolbar, but I was notified of that during FF 3.5's install.

I am still seeing choppy video when playing in native mode (the browser itself is playing without plugins - an .ogg file). If I try and watch the video below my CPU utilization goes to 100% and the video is unwatchable.

I'm noting a slight difference now. Browsing is a bit faster, and I just discovered the
"Private Browsing" feature. That will really come in handy at work and home

It isn't cutting it for me.
It does seem to be a bit faster, but not enough to notice from home (3Mbps DSL).
Also most of the plugins I use do not have 3.5 equivalents.
Two big ones are Tab Mix Plus and Robo Form.
I really don't understand why FF has to churn their plugin API so much.
A lot of plugins are side projects that don't get updated often, so each major change of FF guarantees more plugins are being left behind.
Plugins are the best feature of using FF so they better knock it off.

Sorry to sidetrack you guys... But I have 3 Browsers.
Chrome, Opera, And Firefox... well 4, but I will never touch IE.
Anyways. I have ran the flash player installed numerous times... I CANNOT for the life of me, get Myspace Music Player to work, on any browser!
I've tried installing Flash manually. I've tried just about anything,
but the real slap in the face is, that, When I had FF 1.5, its worked fine! It never failed me!
What the heck?!
How( 3.5 - 1.5 = 2 ) "2" Main Versions later can i not get it to work! That's not an improvement.
I Really dont care if Flash Player doesnt work on Opera or Chrome, but I use FF like there's no tomorrow.
Any tips feel free to post.
Thanks,
Garrett
