I might be up to grab drinks one night. Not as much into the spotting as much, but wouldn't mind meeting up at a bar.
I'll be in Las Vegas this weekend for a FlyerTalk meet, and wouldn't mind going back for an A.net one.

Its going to be HOT. I was just there over the 4th and it got to 110F. Man, we were dying over there.
Perhaps sometime during the cheap season, I would be down. I'm only 6 hours (drive) away.

Meh...that's not too bad for Vegas. I actually don't mind going during the summer - I went last year in May, July, August and the first weekend in October and had no problems any of those times. Same with May earlier this year. Looking to be a balmy 111 on Friday and Saturday and a cooler 108 on Sunday.

Lets plan one that will take place towards the end of this year or early next year. I'll be driving by then so getting to vegas will not be a issue. Count me pending the dates.

I'm planning a trip with some friends for either November or (more likely) late December for a weekend. I'll be more than happy to meet up with anyone during the day... my nights will be booked; I just turned 21 two months ago, so this will be my first time in Vegas where I can actually DO things there!

Do you live in the Sahara or something, damn!
Not sure if you're a beer drinker, but be sure to stop by Barbary Coast, next to the Flamingo on Flamingo Road, $3 Corona's there.

I've been looking at December 18-20, but that's definitely not set in stone yet. It depends on my friends availability and budget.

That would be awesome if I can figure something out. I will know by November if I can make it.

Sounds cool, let me know when you confirm the details.

I'd like to go but I'm too far from the strip at Anthem Highlands in Henderson. It takes me about 10 minutes just to get out of my neighborhood.

Hotel rooms are rather cheap from Thanksgiving until Christmas, with a little bump during the National Finals Rodeo, but not that big of a bump. Last December, I actually got three free rooms nights at Binion's (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) for signing up for a slot tournament for folks that had joined their player's club that year (Which between Saturday and Sunday maybe took up an hour of my time at best.). This was at the very end of the NFR, as well.
I'm already committed to a solo Vegas trip this Fall (Flight had been booked and considering what the change fees are, I'm not budging from my dates.), so I definitely cannot do one this year.
Quoting GQfluffy (Reply 10): Go between late November and early March...you'll need a jacket.
When I was out there Thanksgiving weekend 2007, the weather wasn't too cold. I think it got into the mid 40s at night. It was definitely cold when I was out there last December, but it wasn't too bad during the daytime. I thankfully dodged the "blizzard" by a few hours, but definitely was worried about it. When I was out there back in late March this year, it was fine for most of the trip until Sunday night when it just got downright chilly. I remember Monday morning standing outside of my hotel waiting on the shuttle bus ducking into a doorway to keep the wind off of me as my only jacket was my sportcoat.
As for one in 2010, that's definitely something I cannot even commit to just yet. The guys I went out there to hang out with back in March always do a trip around that time so I'm more than likely heading out there in the spring for that.

Depending on when it actually is, and prices for airfare and hotels, I might be up for it.

I've got an even better kept-secret for drinking in Las Vegas. Won't go into many more details other than it helps that I'm out in Las Vegas around 10 times a year.

I guess you haven't been to Vegas in several years, as Harrah's acquired Barbary Coast a few years back (They had bought the old Westward Ho property [Man I miss that place.], swapped it with Boyd Gaming [Who owns Coast Casinos.] for Barbary Coast, which they renamed Bill's Gamblin' Hall & Saloon. Boyd got room for future expansion for their replacement for the Stardust [Which I miss very much.].).
If you want cheap beer, the best bet is to sit down at a casino bar, put a few bucks in one of the tabletop machines, slow play it (or only play long enough to get served), and get your beer for free. Once you get your beer, cash out, tip the bartender and be on your way. Probably cheaper than sitting at a table game waiting for the cocktail waitress to return (That beer gets mighty expensive if the table's not being too kind to you.). At some casinos, they even have beers on tap. My last trip, I spent time hanging out at one of the bars at the Golden Nugget slow playing video poker with a few of my friends, drinking Sam Adams on tap while waiting for the rest of the guys to show up. Even better was going over to Binion's and playing blackjack at one the tables they have inside of their sports bar/cigar bar, Benny's Bullpen. They have all of the Chicago Brewing beers on tap (Chicago Brewing is owned by the guy that owns Binion's and the Four Queens), and some other good beers on tap as well. This place doesn't serve it in some little glass either, we're talking a nice mug of beer. The other great part about the blackjack tables in Benny's Bullpen is that they have attractive girls in skimpy outfits dealing (There are several casinos doing this now, colloquially referred to as "boobjack".).
