I was just curious if anyone on here likes to ride jetski's? Even though I have not ridden a jetski for over a couple I do like the power and mobility they possess. Also, have any members ridden in a jetboat? I prefer them whenever I kneeboard as they have good control and are very fast.

I have waverunners, and as I got older, I really don't like them that much, because it's hard to hold a beer and drive one. Much prefer the boats. More people, more liquor, more fun. And when you get tired of driving, you just get someone else to and walk to the back of the boat and socialize. Now, you could go underneath in the cabin to socialize, but at my type of parties I have on my boat, it's a clothing optional socializing area.
Not a fan of jet boats, though you are correct, they maneuver incredibly well. They just seem like girl boats to me, as they are basically waverunners themselves, just bigger.

Well I got to drive a SeaRayder 16 the jetboat version of the Sea that they stopped making in 98. Very fast and easy to loose control if you fo not know what you're doing.

Jetskis and Jetboats are my life, here in Egypt you can rent them and they have them delivered to your house, because the resort which I have my beach house in consists of houses which are right on the water with several lakes connected to the mediterranean, and man-made islands (where the houses are built on).
I just rented a Yamaha VX700 today But the best jetski is the SeaDoo RXT , my friend has it . But Jetskis and Jetboats are completely different things. In a jetski you have unmatched mobility and it just feels so nice. Jetboats are great if you and your friends wanna go cruising, with music, and also get some thrills with the speed of it.

All you need is one of those nifty beer hard hats that hold two beers and allow you to steer with two hands
I thoroughly enjoyed my JetSki time in Belize, though whenever I am on a JetSki in the Niagara River I always picture myself as a lone chimp going over the falls

Nah, jetskies aren't that great (especially on choppy seas). Even worse are the animals that mount them. Some people actually have a clue of how to handle them properly and safely, but too many are maniacs.
No idea about Jetboats though.

Quoting ManuCH (Reply 2): I love jetskis. I have ridden one before in Greece while on vacation. Unfortunately they're forbidden on our lakes here in Switzerland... too bad.
I never knew that Manu! I'm really sorry to hear that. Switzerland has some of the most beautiful lakes around, but you know that already!
Every time I go to Koh Samui on holiday, I always rent a jet ski for a couple of hours each day! I just love 'em! As a hardcore motorcycle rider, it's fun to go fast on the water......without any alcohol!!!
