I enjoy watching The Simpsons, but I know some people that hate them. Simpsons are very real for the world that we are living in and I´ve never seen a single episode which is not funny or not professional.

Naw. I stopped watching years ago. Pretty soon they will be running out of plots and there are so many similar cartoons and T.V. shows that it's getting cheesy.

I never get enough although I believe I have seen all episodes at least 3 times in my life! I believe they are running in German and Austrian TV without a break for 5 years now ( or even longer).

Not anymore unless the episode is from around the 90s or early 2000s. Most of the new episodes aren't that funny.

I think most of the newer episodes are not funny. The show has been on too long and they are stetching it a bit. I know it is a cartoon, but a lot of the newer shows don't jive with the older shows.

I would agree.
I used to watch the Simpsons all the time, but if I see an episode from the 2000s on I change the channel.
For those of you wathing outside the USA do you get to see the 90s episodes. If you don't you are missing the best ones.

I agree that it is not as funny as it used to be but I still watch it. Just one of those shows that I will continue to watch until the end. I find Family guy and Southpark to be much funnier now.

I'll always like the Simpsons, but watch it very rarely these days. I prefer watching repeats of the classic episodes- seasons 2-6. There are better shows out there these days, so Simpsons have taken the back bench. It's glory days are long over unfortunately.

I thought the movie was not very good either. It was too much like the new episodes. They should have done the movie in the 4th or 5th season when things were still funny.

I am not sure if outside the states people know whether the episode is from 90s or 2000s, but I guess that most tv shows are better when at the begining.
I remember watching Tom & Jerry, I always liked the original 50s and 60s episode compared to the newer versions (70s, 80s).

I do like watching The Simpsons (generally because half the time there's nothing else decent on) and used to watch them a lot when I was still in school, although I agree with the others that most of the newer episodes made aren't as funny - I'd say from around 2000 onwards they went downhill - as you either know what to expect or they show signs of desperation for new ideas it's not worth watching it to see what they come out with. Slick animation in the newest episodes doesn't make up for a poor storyline I'm afraid.
I think one of the actors who lends his voice criticised the post-2000 episodes a few years ago.

Yes we do. Here in the UK, Sky One and Channel 4 show all the episodes, including the 90s episodes.

German Pro7 has the ols episodes as well and is showing the 90s episodes quite regularly.
I don not like the new ones especially because the women who was the voice of marge, bart, pattie and selma in germany died 2 years ago or so and the new voice just sucks.
Makes bad episodes even worse.

I love the Simpsons. The newer episodes aren't as funny as the previous ones, seasons 2-12 were the best. They should have called it quits after season 15, though some Treehouse of Horror episodes were good in the later seasons.
