Chain Restaurant Uniform Question

So today at work my boss wore an orange & white checked shirt (think stereotypical Italian restaurant tablecloth, but in orange instead of red) and brown pants. Upon seeing this ensemble, I immediately thought "Wow, that's just like the old ________ uniform!", but I can't for the life of me think which chain restaurant used to make their employees wear that outfit. I can picture in my mind's eye a whole kitchen full of guys similarly attired, and I seem to remember an orange neckerchief being part of the original uniform as well.

Can any of you A-netters help me out with this? It's been driving me crazy all day long.

Thanks in advance for your replies.  Smile

He's mentioned in passing that he did once own a restaurant, so in a franchise kind of way I suppose that's possible.

There's absolutely no danger of that, as I'd never ask. Big grin

Bob's Big Boy from way way WAAAAY back? That is all I can picture....

Or, Skippy, when you go on your 10, you could simply walk outside and look at the sign in front of your workplace, instead of stealing fries. When you steal fries, you steal from the company!  laughing
